Lonnie D. Wainwright, Jr.
Lonnie D. Wainwright, Jr. has practiced law for 30 years. His practice initially included various types of civil litigation. While enjoying trying both jury and non-jury cases, in 1993 he co-founded the firm and began to focus his practice primarily on worker’s compensation and related matters. He provides legal services to self-insured group funds, self-insured companies, and insurance carriers with respect to worker’s compensation matters. He has represented many different types of industries, manufacturers, and companies.
Lonnie received his undergraduate degree (B.A., Political Science and History, 1985), from the University of North Alabama where he was elected and served as president of the Student Government Association. He earned his JD in 1988 from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. While in law school he was a member of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy and was a member of Cumberland’s Trial Advocacy Board. He authored “Urinalysis Drug Tests; Do They Make the Grade?” Am. J. Trial Advoc. 11:3 (1987).

Outside of work Lonnie is active in his church. He and his wife Cindy enjoy spending time with their three daughters, two sons-in-law and two grandchildren. They also enjoy watching the Crimson Tide play football.
